Nathia Gray
1945-2017
Nathia was born in Kettering, Northamptonshire and lived for many years in the nearby village of Loddington with her husband Terry and her three children, Zoe, Tanya and William.

She was a passionate and talented artist.

She grew up in a family where performing arts were a major part of her life and the associated use of colour and design developed her artist’s eye.
She had no formal training but attended a very successful art history course at Scaldwell under the tuition of Maggie Angeloglue as well as any lectures she could, particularly those run by Nadfas, to increase her knowledge and pleasure in what she did so well. Latterly she had been a member of a group of painters who meet regularly in Wilbarston.
She exhibited regularly with Open Studios (Studio Trails) and entered all the Opens at The Alfred East following in the footsteps of her grandfather, himself an early member of KDAS. She was proud to be counted. A retrospective of her work was held at Studio 19 in September, 2017.

Nathia's family would love to hear any stories about her life in art, so please do get in touch.
